The question of whether an object remains the same when all of its component parts have been replaced. This is paradox that addresses the issue of identity. This chair embodies this paradox by featuring a structure designed for the interchangeability of elements, allowing it to maintain the same form while becoming something entirely different.

This piece presents the idea of materials as assets, existing in a form that perpetually remains incomplete, thereby redefining the value of objects from their completed state. Traditionally, the value of handcrafted furniture lies in its completion as a final product, but this design challenges that notion by assigning value to individual components.

資産としての素材の在り方を提示し、ある意味、未完成で有り続けるからこそ成り立つ形態である本作品は、完成系としての存在する形態のモノとしての在り方から価値を問い直すものである。
